Implementation of the “Grand Week of Hijab and Modesty” Programs by the Imam Ali Holy Shrine Across Provinces of Iraq

The Imam Ali Holy Shrine has approved the implementation of the “Grand Week of Hijab and Modesty” programs to be carried out in thirteen provinces across Iraq.

As the blessed birth anniversary of Lady Fatimah al-Zahra (peace be upon her) approaches, the Custodian of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine endorsed the full one-week program during a meeting with the supervisory committee overseeing the activities of the Grand Week of Modesty. The meeting was attended by members of the Board of Directors and the heads of the relevant departments.

Wesam Iskandar, Director of the “Al-Nathm” Center, stated to the Shrine’s News Center:

“The Week of Modesty will include the celebration of the coming-of-age ceremony and the ‘My Hijab’ program, in addition to a series of special activities dedicated to women and children, with broad participation from various segments of society.”

He added that the activities will take place in Najaf al-Ashraf and in several provinces throughout Iraq. These programs form part of the efforts of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine to promote moral values and modesty and to highlight the legacy of the Lady of the Women of the World (peace be upon her) in a manner that reflects the spiritual and social dimensions of this blessed occasion.

It is noteworthy that the nationwide Week of Modesty organized by the Imam Ali Holy Shrine includes a diverse range of activities, such as the coming-of-age celebration, the “My Hijab” event, the visitor guidance initiative, and the march of the servants of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him), in addition to Quranic and cultural gatherings, as well as programs dedicated to women and children.
