The Holy Alawi Shrine, represented by the Publicity Unit of the Religious Affairs Department, announced the completion of all necessary preparations for the launch of the 11th round of its annual Summer Educational Program, under the slogan “We Learn from Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him).”
This program will involve the participation of 3,000 students from Najaf Ashraf Province and various other provinces across Iraq. It will be held in coordination and cooperation with representatives of the Supreme Religious Authority.
The announcement was made during the Holy Shrine’s hosting of a group of scholars and seminary students participating in the implementation of the program.
Mr. Karar al-Khafaji, Head of the Religious Affairs Department, stated: “The Holy Alawi Shrine continues its preparations for the annual Summer Educational Program for the Hijri years 1447 and 1448.
This program, in service to our dear student children, will begin on Friday, 19 June 2026 and will be held with the participation of 3,000 students from various Iraqi provinces — from north to south — under the slogan “O Master of the Ghadir Covenant.”
He added:
“These courses are organized within the framework of the fatherly and supportive vision of the Holy Alawi Shrine. They aim to promote culture and awareness among students who have completed the academic year. The program will also take advantage of the valuable opportunities presented by the months of Muharram and Safar to enhance religious awareness and propagation activities.
In these courses, topics in jurisprudence, doctrine, ethics, as well as lessons on the conduct and biography of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) will be presented.”
Mr. Rasoul al-Gharabi, Head of the Religious Publicity Unit, stated: “This program was launched more than ten years ago and targets students in elementary, middle, and high school stages, aged 11 to 17 years.”
He added:
“The program is coordinated with representatives of the Supreme Religious Authority in various Iraqi provinces and will be implemented through educational and cultural circles. In total, 3,000 students will participate, with each educational circle consisting of 50 students.”
