The Hussaini Processions Committee, affiliated with the Shrine’s Security Department, announced that the ceremonies witnessed broad participation from both mourning and service processions.
Hasan Jariw, head of the committee, stated:
“According to the recorded figures, 134 Mashq processions and 124 Mashael (Torch) processions participated in the mourning ceremonies.
In addition, 212 service mawkibs provided hospitality and support to pilgrims visiting Najaf al-Ashraf throughout the commemorations.”
He further noted that 56 chain-beating processions and 11 Masir processions also took part, reflecting the remarkable public participation and commitment to preserving the Hussaini rituals and keeping the legacy of Imam al-Hussain (peace be upon him) alive.
These figures demonstrate the scale of the organizational and service efforts dedicated to ensuring the successful observance of the Muharram mourning ceremonies.
