Holy Alawi Shrine Mobilizes Medical Services for Hussaini Mourners

The Holy Alawi Shrine has mobilized its medical and nursing teams to provide healthcare services to pilgrims and participants in the Ashura mourning ceremonies.

The Rasul Al-Adam Medical Center, affiliated with the Holy Alawi Shrine, has placed all its medical and nursing staff on full alert throughout the first ten days of Muharram to serve pilgrims commemorating the martyrdom of Imam al-Hussain (peace be upon him).

Dr. Jawad Al-Ismaili, Director of the Medical Center, stated:

“As part of the special medical plan for Muharram, services have been provided since the beginning of the month in coordination with the various departments of the Holy Alawi Shrine, the Najaf Health Directorate, and the Baghdad Health Directorate. The plan includes more than 10 physicians, 200 nursing and support personnel, and 125 trained volunteers specializing in emergency evacuation, first aid, and patient transportation.”

He added:

“Five medical stations have been established around the Holy Alawi Shrine, operating around the clock and fully equipped with medicines and medical supplies. These stations provide first aid and emergency care, transfer patients to hospitals when necessary, and continuously monitor critical cases to ensure the safety of mourners.”

Dr. Al-Ismaili also confirmed that all preparations for the medical services plan for the upcoming Arbaeen pilgrimage have been completed.
