As part of its Muharram service program, the Committee for Supporting Hussaini Mawkibs has continued providing logistical assistance to mawkibs located in the Old City of Najaf and around the Holy Alawi Shrine.
Ahmed Rikabi, head of the committee, said:
“The mawkibs have been supplied with food, drinking water, carpeting materials, and other essential equipment. Financial and moral support has also been provided to enhance the services they offer to pilgrims and mourners.”
He added that a delegation from the Holy Alawi Shrine, headed by Deputy Secretary-General Ihsan Al-Ta’i and accompanied by several board members, conducted field visits to a number of mawkibs in the Old City of Najaf and listened to their observations and proposals.
