Masoud Pezeshkian, President of Iran, visited the holy shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him), during his trip to Iraq along with his accompanying delegation. He was welcomed by the custodian and other officials of the Holy Alawi Shrine.
Sayyid al-Khirsan, welcoming the Iranian president on behalf of the shrine’s attendants, offered his condolences over the martyrdom of the Leader of the Islamic Revolution of Iran, Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei, as well as the other honored martyrs.
Masoud Pezeshkian thanked the officials of the Holy Alawi Shrine for their warm welcome and gracious hospitality, and expressed his gratitude for the efforts made in organizing the funeral procession in the city of Najaf al-Ashraf.
The visit by the Iranian president and his delegation took place within the context of his attendance at the funeral procession for the martyred Ayatollah Sayyid Ali Khamenei in the city of Najaf al-Ashraf.
