A delegation from the Alawi Assembly for Research and Islamic Studies, affiliated with the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs of the Holy Alawi Shrine, met with His Eminence Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Sadiq al-Khirsan, within the framework of the program for scholarly and intellectual communication with professors and scholars of the Najaf al-Ashraf Seminary.
The head of this Assembly, Shaikh Salam al-Nasiri, stated in an interview with the Holy Shrine’s News Center:
“The delegation outlined the most important activities of the Alawi Assembly, which include the research and verification of manuscripts, the revival of Islamic heritage, the publication of scholarly books and journals, and the holding of scholarly and intellectual conferences and seminars.”
Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Sadiq al-Khirsan, while expressing appreciation for the efforts of the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs and the Alawi Assembly for Research and Islamic Studies in serving the Islamic heritage, offered a number of his scholarly views and points for advancing the activities of this body.
At the conclusion of the visit, the delegation from the Holy Alawi Shrine presented Ayatollah Sayyid Muhammad Sadiq al-Khersan with a collection of books and research works, edited and published by the Alawi Assembly.
