The Lost Pilgrims Guidance Center of the Holy Alawi Shrine, in cooperation with the media department, has prepared and finalized the updated edition of the guide for the holy shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) and the city of Najaf al-Ashraf. This guide has been compiled with the aim of facilitating pilgrims’ movement and helping them gain easy and clear access to religious sites and main service centers.
The head of the Lost Pilgrims Guidance Center, Mustafa al-Fatlawi, stated in an interview with the News Center of the Holy Alawi Shrine:
“This guide includes two main maps. The first is a map of the holy Alawi shrine, designed using three-dimensional (3D) technology, which allows pilgrims to easily identify the location of places of worship, service centers, main gates, and the routes leading to them. The guide also marks pilgrims’ resting areas, including Imam al-Rida Town, the Wadi al-Salam cemetery, and the most important services available around the holy Alawi shrine.”
He added:
“The second map is dedicated to the city of Najaf al-Ashraf and introduces the most important religious sites of Najaf and Kufa, including Hannana Mosque, the shrine of Kumayl ibn Ziyad, the shrine of Muslim ibn Aqil (peace be upon them both), the Kufa Mosque, and the Sahla Mosque. The map also marks the location of special pilgrim transportation parking areas, the main hospitals, Najaf al-Ashraf International Airport, and the main roads and streets leading to the holy Alawi shrine.”
Al-Fatlawi also noted:
“This center is currently preparing a special edition of the Arbaeen pilgrim guide, which will include the maps and services that the Holy Alawi Shrine provides during the days of the millions-strong Arbaeen pilgrimage. In addition to distributing the printed edition among pilgrims, this guide will be published through the official platforms of the Holy Alawi Shrine and will also be installed in the form of large signs and banners at the entrances of main streets, in order to facilitate pilgrims’ access to various sites and services.”
It is worth noting that, by mobilizing all the capacities of its various departments, the Holy Alawi Shrine serves pilgrims during the days of Arbaeen of Imam al-Hussain (peace be upon him) who choose the holy shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) in Najaf al-Ashraf as one of the most important stops on their path toward holy Karbala to begin the Arbaeen ceremonies.
