Rasul Al-A’zam Mawkib Distributes 15,000 Meals Daily During Arbaeen

The Rasul al-A'zam Mawkib provides more than 15,000 meals daily to Arbaeen pilgrims.

The Rasul Al-A’zam Mawkib, affiliated with the Passive Defense (Safety) and Emergency Response Unit of the Vehicles Department at the Holy Alawi Shrine, serves thousands of pilgrims arriving in the holy city of Najaf around the clock, as part of the Shrine’s comprehensive service program for the days of Arbaeen.

Saad Sabbar, head of the Passive Defense (Safety) and Emergency Response Unit, told the Holy Alawi Shrine News Center:

“As part of the planning carried out by the Holy Alawi Shrine, this Mawkib provides a full range of food services to pilgrims around the clock, in order to meet the significant increase in the number of pilgrims during the days of Arbaeen.”

He added:

“This Mawkib distributes three main meals daily among pilgrims, including approximately 7,000 breakfasts, 5,000 lunches, and 3,500 dinners. Supplementary refreshments, including juice, cakes, and cold beverages, are also provided to meet pilgrims’ needs throughout the day and night. In addition, special milk for children and 7,000 light food packages are distributed among pilgrims daily.”

It is worth noting that the Holy Alawi Shrine has implemented a comprehensive plan to serve Arbaeen pilgrims who, after visiting the shrine of Amir al-Muminin Ali (peace be upon him), continue on toward holy Karbala, mobilizing all of its human and equipment resources to provide the best possible services.
