Raising the Flag of the Birth of the Holy Prophet at the Holy Alawi Shrine

On the occasion of the beginning of the International Sadiqayn Week, the Holy Alawi Shrine, in a magnificent ceremony, raised the flag of the birth of the Greatest Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) at the Holy Alawi Shrine.

 

Within the framework of the programs of the fifth International Sadiqayn Week, the Deputy Custodian of the Holy Alawi Shrine held a ceremony to raise the flag commemorating the birth of the Greatest Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and his esteemed grandson, Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (peace be upon him).

 

This ceremony was held in the presence of Sayyid Eisa al-Khirsan, the Deputy  Custodian of the Holy Alawi Shrine, his deputy and members of the Board of Directors, as well as the Governor of Najaf al-Ashraf and a number of security commanders, official, and social figures.

 

Haidar al-Eisawi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Holy Alawi Shrine, speaking on behalf of the Custodianship of this Holy Shrine, stated:

“This occasion commemorates two blessed births that, with their light, illuminated the course of history and the path of humanity, and brought with them concepts such as mercy, guidance, and knowledge.”

 

This ceremony was also accompanied by festive programs and hymns that depicted the joy and delight of those present on the occasion of the anniversary of the birth of the Holy Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and Imam al-Sadiq (peace be upon him).

 

The fifth International Sadiqayn Week will witness the holding of a diverse array of Quranic, cultural, scientific, dialogue-based, and poetic programs, alongside social programs and the honoring of personalities, which will be held in the vicinity of the Holy Alawi Shrine and various parts of Najaf al-Ashraf, and its scope will also extend to other areas within Iraq and beyond its borders.
