Dar al-Quran, affiliated with the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department of the Holy Alawi Shrine, held the Quranic gathering at the shrine as part of the Fifth International Two Sadiqs Week’s activities.
The gathering was attended by reciters and eulogists from inside and outside Iraq, along with a number of pilgrims to the shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him).
Ala Mohsen, head of Dar al-Quran, stated:
“This gathering was attended by Ishaq al-Atiyah, reciter and muezzin of the Holy Askari Shrine, as well as Younes Shahmoradi, an international reciter from the Islamic Republic of Iran. Ali al-Anbar, a eulogist and panegyrist from the Holy Karbala Shrine, also took part in the program, and the choir of the Holy Alawi Shrine performed in the closing segments of the gathering.”
He added:
“This gathering was met with a wide turnout of pilgrims who had come to visit the shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him).”
The head of Dar al-Quran also stated:
“During the gathering, a raffle was held to distribute blessed gifts to pilgrims of the shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) and those present at the gathering who had listened to the recitations.”
He noted:
“This gathering is one of the events of the Fifth International Two Sadiqs Week, held by the Custodianship of the Holy Alawi Shrine to mark the birth anniversary of the noble Prophet of Islam, Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family), and his esteemed grandson, Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (peace be upon him).”
It is worth noting that the Custodianship of the Holy Alawi Shrine is holding the International Two Sadiqs Week program for the fifth consecutive year. This week includes poetry festivals, cultural events, dialogue-based sessions, Quranic and public gatherings, virtual competitions, educational programs for children, and training workshops. A number of this week’s gatherings are also being held in various countries, including the Republic of Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
