The Holy Alawi Shrine delegation met in the city of Lahore, Pakistan, with Allamah Shaikh Muhammad Hussain Akbar, Director of the Minhaj al-Hussain (peace be upon him) Institute, to discuss the holding of special programs marking the anniversary of the birth of the Noble Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and his grandson, Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), within the framework of International Two Sadiqs Week programs.
Mazen al-Asad, of the Public Relations Section and representative of the Holy Alawi Shrine in Pakistan, stated in an interview with the Shrine’s News Center:
“The Holy Alawi Shrine has prepared a variety of programs to mark the occasion of the birth of the Great Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him and his family) and his grandson, Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (peace be upon him), which also include visits to religious, academic, and charitable institutions in a number of countries around the world.”
He added:
“The Minhaj al-Hussain Institute in Lahore was one of the stops of the Holy Alawi Shrine delegation on this trip.”
Al-Asad also said:
“During this visit, the Holy Alawi Shrine delegation conveyed the greetings and regards of the Shrine’s Custodianship and the servants of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) to the institute’s officials.”
During the visit, the delegation also familiarized itself with the various activities and departments of the Minhaj al-Hussain (peace be upon him) Institute, an institution dedicated to providing academic, cultural, charitable, and religious programs for the followers of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and which is also active in the fields of jurisprudence, academic scholarship, and Qur’anic studies in Lahore.
He added:
“This institute hosts seminary students, both women and men, and a number of instructors specialized in various fields of jurisprudential, academic, and Qur’anic knowledge are also active there.”
It is worth noting that this year’s fifth session of International Two Sadiqs Week includes the holding of gatherings, festivals, and social, religious, and cultural programs in a number of Islamic countries, including the Republic of Azerbaijan and Pakistan.
These programs are held with the aim of commemorating religious occasions and strengthening cultural and academic exchange with international institutions.
