The Holy Alawi Shrine, represented by the Media Division and in cooperation with the Artistic Productions Management affiliated with it, honored the makers of the series, who had come from Basra Province, in recognition of their efforts in producing and completing this major dramatic work.
Hosting and Honoring
Jafar al-Budairi, Administrative Deputy of the Head of the Media Division, stated:
“This hosting took place at the gracious invitation of the Deputy Custodian of the Holy Alawi Shrine, and included professors and students of the College of Fine Arts, as well as the artists, writer, director, and production crew who played a role in the success of the series.”
He added:
“The honoring ceremony was held with Haidar Rahim, Head of the Media Division, and a number of managers and senior and administrative staff of the division, in attendance. At the ceremony, alongside welcoming and thanking the visiting delegation, blessed gifts and special recognition were presented to those involved in the work.”
Media Tour
Al-Budairi also noted that the program included a visit to the Holy Alawi Shrine’s library and the satellite network control room, as well as another visit to become acquainted with the most important sections of the shrine.
He explained:
“This visit was met with enthusiasm and engagement from the participants, who praised the Holy Alawi Shrine’s role in supporting purposeful cinematic and dramatic projects, particularly works that revive the Husseini heritage and record and preserve its manifestations in cultural memory.”
Ideas for the Future
During the visit, the crew of the dramatic work presented a set of proposals and ideas to help develop future dramatic and artistic works and strengthen cooperation between the Holy Alawi Shrine and academic and artistic centers — cooperation that could support the production of works that represent the Husseini heritage and present it to audiences through contemporary artistic methods.
It is worth noting that the Holy Alawi Shrine’s Media Division has placed the production of a historical series on its agenda, one that documents and narrates the suffering and hardships endured by the Shia under Iraq’s former regime, and their insistence on keeping alive the path of the eternal Husseini uprising despite all the injustices and pressures they endured.
