Represented by the Alawi Education Board, the Deputy Custodian of the Holy Alawi Shrine, alongside the programs of Two Sadiqs Week — held to mark the anniversary of the birth of the Noble Prophet (peace be upon him and his family) and his esteemed grandson, Imam Jafar al-Sadiq (peace be upon him) — inaugurated the Alawi Schools complex, with the attendance of a number of official, educational, academic, and social figures.
The opening ceremony was attended by Yusuf Kanawi, Governor of Najaf, Hussain al-Eisawi, head of the Provincial Council, along with the support and presence of Ehsan al-Taie, Assistant Director of the Custodianship of the sacred Alawi shrine, as well as members of the board of directors and heads of various departments.
The ceremony opened with an address from the Deputy Custodian of the sacred Alawi shrine, read on his behalf by Mustafa Muni, a member of the board of directors. In this address, he emphasized the importance of knowledge and its role in shaping human character, stating:
“Schools are a foundation for the pursuit of knowledge, a sphere for character formation, and a ground for cultivating values.”
He added that the affiliation of these schools with the Holy Alawi Shrine doubles their responsibility in instilling knowledge and morality and in cultivating high aspirations within students.
At the opening ceremony, a number of official figures also delivered remarks, praising the role of the Holy Alawi Shrine in supporting the educational sector in Najaf province and improving the educational environment — an effort carried out with the aim of raising a generation equipped with knowledge and skill and adorned with moral values.
Murtada al-Hammami, official spokesperson for the Alawi Education Board, stated:
“The work of this board is not limited merely to administering a group of schools; rather, this board constitutes an integrated educational system that operates with the aim of shaping the character of the student, discovering their talents, and playing a role in charting a different future in the field of education and character formation.”
