The pavilion of the Holy Alawi Shrine’s Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs met with widespread interest from readers, researchers, and visitors at the 27th Baghdad International Book Fair.
Among the items on display, a facsimile edition of the Holy Quran attributed to Amir al-Muminin Ali (peace be upon him) attracted more attention and interest from visitors than any other work.
This copy is regarded as a rare and valuable piece of heritage, bearing the following inscription at its conclusion:
“This copy was written by Ali ibn Abi Talib in the fortieth year after the Prophetic mission.”
The presence of this inscription adds to the historical and heritage significance of the copy, making it one of the pavilion’s most notable attractions — particularly for researchers and those with an interest in manuscripts and Quranic and Islamic heritage.
