The Dar al-Quran Unit, affiliated with the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department of the Holy Alawi Shrine, held a ceremony awarding certificates in the recitation of the Noble Quran according to the narration of Hafs from Asim al-Kufi, with the participation of more than 70 Quran students from various provinces of Iraq, at the Malik al-Ashtar Hall located in the courtyard of Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her).
Ala Muhsin, head of Dar al-Quran, told the Holy Alawi Shrine’s News Center:
“This ceremony was held to honor the efforts of the participating Quran students from various provinces of Iraq throughout the course, and marked the occasion for awarding recitation certificates according to the narration of Hafs from Asim. This course spanned more than a year, during which the Noble Quran, from Surat al-Fatihah to Surat al-Nas, was recited and taught under the supervision of specialized instructors in the field of Quranic recitation.”
He added:
“At this ceremony, blessed gifts and certificates of appreciation were presented by the Holy Alawi Shrine to the Quran students who successfully obtained certification in this narration.”
He also emphasized the continuation of these courses, stating that such programs play an effective role in teaching the Noble Quran, strengthening reflection on its verses and meanings, and in fostering correct recitation, memorization, and emulation among Quran students.
These efforts are carried out as part of the Holy Alawi Shrine’s programs to spread Quranic culture, teach the Book of Allah the Exalted to various segments of society, and provide an educational and specialized environment — one that plays a significant role in advancing the Quranic proficiency of students.
