The Mawkib of the Holy Alawi Shrine, on behalf of the Pilgrims’ Guesthouse Department, hosted pilgrims in the holy city of Qom with blessed meals and snacks, coinciding with the anniversary of the martyrdom of Lady Fatimah Masumah (peace be upon her).
Salam al-Jabouri, a member of the Mawkib’s management committee, told the Shrine’s news center:
“By order of the Deputy Custodian of the Holy Alawi Shrine, this Mawkib set out from Najaf al-Ashraf for the holy city of Qom to serve pilgrims and mourners on the anniversary of the martyrdom of Lady Fatimah Masumah (peace be upon her). Throughout the day and night, the Mawkib provides pilgrims with three main meals as well as snacks.”
He added:
“Prior coordination was carried out by the Public Relations Department between the two holy shrines to prepare the service location in the Sahn of Imam al-Jawad (peace be upon him) at the Holy Shrine of Lady Masumah (peace be upon her). The Mawkib’s service will continue until the end of the pilgrimage ceremonies.”
The head of the Mawkib, Miqdad Jabbar, also stated:
“We have begun distributing blessed meals to the dear pilgrims, and we are distributing more than 25,000 meals daily. Snacks consisting of fruit and juice are also being provided to pilgrims, and we will continue these services for five days. In total, 30 servants from our department are taking part in this service, accompanied by 20 volunteers (honorary servants).”
It is worth noting that the Mawkib of the Holy Alawi Shrine arrived in the holy city of Qom last Saturday, bringing the grace and blessings of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him), in order to offer them to the pilgrims who have come to this holy city to take part in the commemoration of this heart-rending tragedy.
