The Deputy Custodian of the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon him), Sayed Isa al-Khirsan, traveled to Basra Province to honor the families of martyrs and the injured who were affected by the recent Zionist and American acts of aggression targeting several Iraqi provinces.
Haidar al-Isawi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Holy Shrine, stated to the shrine’s News Center:
“This initiative is an expression of loyalty and a tribute to the pure blood shed on our homeland’s soil. It is our minimal duty to show solidarity with the families of the blessed martyrs and the selfless wounded. This action is part of a series of programs aimed at strengthening solidarity with affected families and alleviating their suffering.”
He emphasized:
“The Holy Shrine of Imam Ali (peace be upon you) will continue to fulfill its humanitarian and social roles by supporting and caring for these families, grounded in its religious and moral responsibilities.”
Al-Isawi added:
“This initiative involves visiting dozens of families of martyrs and the wounded across 15 provinces, beginning from the southernmost point in Basra. Other delegations will be dispatched to the remaining provinces of Iraq.” He noted that the first delegation, led by the Deputy Custodian of the Holy Shrine, was accompanied by several servants representing the Media and Public Relations departments.
Representatives of the families of the martyrs and the wounded expressed their deep appreciation for this move by the Holy Shrine, praising its continuous support and describing the visit as a manifestation of the generosity and blessings of the Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) .
