The Holy Alawi Shrine stated that all necessary arrangements for holding the funeral procession of the martyred leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Ayatollah Sayed Ali Khamenei, in the city of Najaf have been completed.
According to the Holy Alawi Shrine, these preparations were carried out in cooperation with relevant institutions and within the framework of a comprehensive services, support, and logistics plan, in order to provide the best possible services to the large crowds participating in the funeral procession in the city of Najaf al-Ashraf.
The Holy Alawi Shrine also emphasized that all service, security, support, and relief units are on full standby to ensure the ceremony is held in the most dignified manner possible and to facilitate the presence of pilgrims and participants.
Haydar al-Eisawi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Holy Alawi Shrine, said in an interview with the Shrine’s News Center:
“The Holy Alawi Shrine, with the participation of all relevant departments, has made all necessary preparations for holding the funeral procession, and by devising a comprehensive plan, has arranged the required security, support, service, and media measures to welcome the participants in this ceremony.”
He added:
“Prior to the implementation of this plan, extensive meetings were held with a number of official delegations, and field visits were conducted to determine special routes. Likewise, all human, technical, and service capacities have been mobilized to ensure the orderly movement of participants, so that the ceremony is held in the best possible manner, in keeping with the Holy Alawi Shrine’s longstanding approach to managing major religious occasions.”
Dr. Adnan al-Arabi, Public Relations Director of the Central Media Committee for the Funeral Procession, expressed appreciation for the preparations made by the various departments, and, praising the extensive efforts and facilities provided, emphasized that this ceremony will be held with special grandeur and will receive extensive media coverage befitting the occasion.
These comprehensive preparations reflect the Holy Alawi Shrine’s commitment to providing all the necessary conditions for holding an orderly and fitting funeral rite, properly welcoming the participating crowds, and drawing on its extensive experience in managing major religious occasions and serving the pilgrims and attendees at this ceremony.
It is worth noting that the special farewell and funeral procession for the body of the martyred leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran will be held on Wednesday, July 8, in the cities of Najaf and Karbala.
