Holy Alawi Shrine Honors One Thousand Servants

The Holy Alawi Shrine honored one thousand servants from 40 delegations and institutions across various Iraqi provinces.

The “Qanbar” Center for Servants of the Holy Alawi Shrine, as part of the programs of the fifth International Two Sadiqs Week, held a ceremony honoring one thousand servants from more than 40 delegations and institutions from various Iraqi provinces.

The ceremony was held in recognition of their efforts in providing services to pilgrims throughout the year, particularly during the millions-strong pilgrimage seasons, and was attended by Ehsan al-Taie, Deputy Custodian of the Holy Alawi Shrine, members of the Board of Directors, and a number of officials from various departments of the Holy Shrine.

The ceremony opened with the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, after which Haidar al-Eisawi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Holy Alawi Shrine, read out the address of the Deputy Custodian of the Holy Shrine.

In the address, he emphasized:

“Service at the shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) is not merely a task we perform; rather, it is an honor, a duty, a trust, and a responsibility that God has bestowed upon us, granting us the nobility of carrying it out.”

Al-Eisawi added:

“A true servant is one who makes his work an act of worship, his conduct with pilgrims a mission of service, and his sincerity a path toward attaining God’s pleasure.”

He also stressed the importance of carrying out duties with precision and competence, and of treating pilgrims with patience, compassion, and good character.

Ahmad al-Zurkani, head of the “Qanbar” Center for Servants, told the Holy Alawi Shrine’s News Center:

“The honoring of one thousand servants was carried out by order of the Deputy Custodian of the Holy Alawi Shrine, in recognition of the role played by the participating delegations and institutions during pilgrimage seasons, particularly the millions-strong pilgrimages — pilgrimages that require extensive efforts and a high degree of coordination among various service bodies in order to provide pilgrims with the best possible services.”

Wissam Iskandar, head of the “al-Nathm” Center of the Planning and Development Unit, said:

“This ceremony was held through the joint cooperation of the Qanbar and al-Nathm Centers. We sought to make use of the presence of officials and delegation representatives to hold a comprehensive training program covering both cultural and administrative fields. Working mechanisms, joint coordination, and preparations for upcoming service programs were also reviewed.”

The activities of the fifth International Two Sadiqs Week are being held within the framework of joint efforts among the relevant departments and units of the Holy Alawi Shrine — departments that have worked to complete the organizational, construction, media, and service dimensions of these programs in a manner befitting the dignity and sanctity of this occasion.
