Nationwide Quranic Programs Across Iraqi Provinces

The Dar al-Quran Center, affiliated with the Department of Intellectual and Cultural Affairs at the Imam Ali Holy Shrine, has officially launched a wide-ranging series of Quranic gatherings and educational forums across fourteen provinces of Iraq.

This comprehensive initiative includes programs in Nineveh, Kirkuk, Basra, Diyala, Dhi Qar, Salah al-Din, Baghdad, Wasit, Diwaniyah, Al-Muthanna, and other regions throughout the country. A distinguished group of seminary scholars, Quranic researchers, and specialists in Quranic sciences are actively participating in these sessions.

Promoting Quranic Culture and Spiritual Awareness

In a statement to the Shrine’s News Center, Mr. Ala Muhsin, Head of the Dar al-Quran Center, emphasized:

“The primary goal of this program is to promote Quranic culture and awareness, while strengthening cooperation with Quranic institutions throughout Iraq. These gatherings focus on contemplation and reflection upon the Holy Quran and examine its profound impact on individual and societal growth. Moreover, the role of religious institutions in reinforcing the authentic values of the Quran is a central theme of discussion.”

Quranic Forums in Nasiriyah and Basra

Mr. Ammar al-Mousawi, one of the program’s coordinators, noted that the provinces of Nasiriyah and Basra—in cooperation with the Union of Quranic Reciters—hosted prominent Quranic scholars and researchers. These forums explored the moral dimensions of the Quran, focusing on themes such as admonition, benevolence, forgiveness, and compassion, and how these divine virtues can illuminate contemporary social conduct.

Strengthening the Bond Between Society and the Quran

This initiative forms part of the Imam Ali Holy Shrine’s broader mission to expand religious awareness, enrich Quranic education, and deepen the nation’s connection with the Holy Book of God. Through these community-based and field-oriented activities, the Shrine continues to spread the light of the Quran across Iraq, nurturing a spiritually aware and morally steadfast generation anchored in the teachings of the Commander of the Faithful, Imam Ali ibn Abi Talib (peace be upon him).
