The Education Unit affiliated with the Dar al-Quran department at the Alawi Holy Shrine held a Quranic competition for distinguished students. The competition was held with the participation of 120 students from this unit, with contestants competing for the top three ranks in a Quranic atmosphere. The aim of this program was to nurture talents and create motivation among emerging and young Quranic forces.
“Ala Muhsin,” head of this department, stated to shrine’s the News Center:
“This competition will be held over three days (Friday, Saturday, and Sunday), coinciding with the days of Eid al-Ghadir.”
He added that this program is part of a series of periodic competitions organized by the Dar al-Quran department for distinguished students to assess their academic and Quranic level, as well as the extent of the skills and teachings they have acquired during the educational course.
He also said:
“This competition plays a role in creating a spirit of healthy competition among students and encouraging outstanding individuals. In addition, it provides an opportunity to identify prominent and capable talents so that they can represent the Alawi Holy Shrine in Quranic competitions, programs, and activities at local and national levels.”
Mr. Mohsen further pointed out that the Dar al-Quran department continues to implement its educational and competitive programs throughout the year and has included the holding of four annual competitions in its plan. These programs are carried out to prepare a Quranic, knowledgeable, and capable generation to serve the Book of Allah Almighty in the vicinity of the Master of the Pious.
It is worth noting that this competition is held in continuation of the Alawi Holy Shrine’s efforts to support emerging Quranic talents and to nurture and attend to their capabilities—an initiative that helps strengthen the Quranic culture.
