The Women’s Media Unit held a specialized workshop entitled “Communication Skills and Dialogue Management in Religious Media,” delivered by Manar al-Sabbagh, a distinguished media trainer. The workshop was conducted within the framework of the Media Department’s strategic approach and aimed at institutionalizing conscious professional practice and fostering balanced media discourse that combines depth of message with precision of expression.
Aligning Training with Media Mission
The Head of the Women’s Media Unit, Ms. Isra Al-Tamimi, explained:
“This workshop was held in line with the unit’s policies to empower media personnel—individuals capable of maintaining a strong and professional on-camera presence and of managing image, sound, and language with awareness and skill, in a manner consistent with the institutional identity and media mission.”
Target Groups and Workshop Themes
She added:
“The workshop was designed for editors, content producers, and reporters, with a primary focus on building genuine confidence, avoiding artificiality, and strengthening skills related to managing questions and dialogue through a socially responsible and professional approach.”
A Practical Learning Experience in a Realistic Setting
The training program included practical and interactive exercises that simulated real media broadcasting scenarios, emphasizing the distinction between composed professional presence and performative behavior. This approach contributes to enhancing the quality of religious media discourse and increasing its effectiveness and impact on audiences.
