Comprehensive Quranic Program of the Alawi Holy Shrine Held Across Iraqi Provinces

The Dar al-Quran of the Alawi Holy Shrine continues to implement its national program of Quranic recitation completions across various provinces of Iraq.

Affiliated with the Intellectual and Cultural Affairs Department of the Alawi Holy Shrine, Dar al-Quran has organized a series of collective Quranic completions as part of its Eleventh National Quranic Plan. The initiative has been carried out in several Iraqi provinces with broad participation from reciters.

In remarks to the Shrine’s News Center, the head of Dar al-Quran, Ala Muhsin, stated:

“This national project is designed to promote Quranic culture within society and expand Quranic activities throughout the provinces. We launched the program in Wasit Province in coordination and cooperation with the province’s Union of Quran Reciters.”

He added:

“Plans are in place to visit and cover Quranic completion ceremonies in the northern provinces in the coming period.”

Ala Muhsin further noted:

“As part of these efforts, nearly 30 Quranic completions have been held in the southern provinces, taking place in mosques and Hussainiyas in a spiritual atmosphere and with strong public attendance. The initiative has also included field visits to several provinces, including Basra, Dhi Qar, and Wasit, to follow up on the progress of the recitations and strengthen coordination with local organizers.”

The project spans 15 Iraqi provinces and encompasses a total of 60 Quranic completions, 30 of which are being conducted in the southern provinces.

This activity forms part of a broader program undertaken by the Dar al-Quran unit at the Alawi Holy Shrine to revive the Quranic environment and reinforce engagement with the Divine Word across Iraq’s provinces.
