As part of its strategic vision for advancing educational and scientific engagement, the Shrine’s “al-Nathm” Unit within the Strategic Planning and Development Center organized visits to several universities and specialized institutes in Baghdad, the capital of Iraq.
Wissam Iskandar, head of the “al-Nathm” Unit, told Shrine’s News Center:
“We firmly believe that genuine development begins with partnerships with distinguished universities. Guided by this principle, our delegation visited educational centers at the Universities of Baghdad, Mustansiriyah University and the Technology University.”
He added:
“These visits were not limited to introducing the Shrine’s programs, particularly those of the Development Department. They also opened ways for exchanging ideas and exploring practical frameworks for joint cooperation in consulting, planning, and development. Our goal is to establish constructive partnerships that elevate educational standards and generate new opportunities.”
Ahmed al-Baghdadi, representing the al-Nathm Unit, outlined further details:
“The delegation also visited the National Center for Occupational Health and Safety and the Regional Emergency Medicine Center. Productive discussions with directors of these institutions highlighted a shared commitment to harnessing human and scientific capacities for developing modern educational programs.”
He concluded:
“These initiatives go beyond ceremonial visits; they constitute tangible steps toward building effective partnerships and synergies between the Holy Shrine and Iraq’s universities and educational institutions. The ultimate aim is to strengthen professional capacities and enhance performance across education and development sectors.”
