The Women’s Quran Education Unit at the Holy Alawi Shrine continues its Quranic program during the days of Arbaeen by establishing seven Quranic stations across various sections dedicated to serving women pilgrims. This program is being carried out with the participation of 26 servants and volunteer servants.
These stations offer services such as correcting the recitation of Surah al-Fatihah and short Quranic surahs, answering questions related to the Quran, overseeing recitation, and correcting errors in pronunciation (makharij al-huruf) and the rules of tajwid — services carried out to spread Quranic culture and strengthen the religious awareness of pilgrims during the millions-strong Arbaeen pilgrimage season.
The head of the Women’s Quran Education Unit, Ms. Dalal al-Tabatabai, told the Shrine’s News Center: “This program is carried out within the framework of the Holy Alawi Shrine’s mission to serve the Noble Quran and promote its teachings.”
She added: “The Quranic stations have been met with widespread enthusiasm from women pilgrims, as the educational and guidance services offered there help correct Quranic recitation and deepen pilgrims’ connection with the divine word.”
She also noted: “This unit draws on the spiritual atmosphere of the pilgrimage to strengthen the faith of pilgrims, playing a role in advancing Quranic culture by distributing programs for completing recitations of the Quran, sending blessings upon the Prophet, offering blessed gifts, and encouraging women to make use of the pilgrimage as an opportunity for remembrance and recitation of the Noble Quran.”
The activities of the Quranic stations continue alongside the participation of this unit’s personnel in service work and the organization of pilgrims at the Holy Alawi Shrine — an approach that reflects the Shrine’s commitment to combining cultural and Quranic activities with field services during the days of the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
