Amir Kassar of Dar al-Quran told the Shane’s News Center:
“This competition was held for the top students of Dar al-Quran’s new course, coinciding with the start of the summer break. In the competition, 100 students took part in a collective recitation of the Holy Quran, performed in the style of one of the renowned reciters of the Islamic world.”
Honoring the Winners
He added:
“In this competition, the students who achieved the top rankings were honored. The program aimed to motivate them to continue participating in Quranic activities and to encourage them to take part in Dar al-Quran’s future courses.”
Strengthening Quran Memorization Skills
He noted:
“These friendly competitions among students are held primarily to encourage and honor them, and alongside this, through regular, daily review of Quranic recitation, they help strengthen memory and increase students’ ability to memorize the Holy Quran.”
It is worth noting that the Holy Alawi Shrine, in its effort to strengthen Quranic culture, encourage the younger generation to recite and memorize the Holy Quran, and deepen their connection with this heavenly book, holds a variety of programs and activities.
