Honoring a Female Quran Memorizer at the Alawi Holy Shrine

The Quran Education Unit of the Women's Section honored a Quran memorizer on the occasion of the "Marriage of Imam Ali and Lady Fatimah (peace be upon them)."

The Women’s Quran Education Section held a magnificent and spiritual gathering on the anniversary of the union of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) and Lady Fatimah (peace be upon her).

The head of the Women’s Quran Education Unit, Mrs. Dalal al-Tabatabai, told the shrine’s news center:

“The gathering began with a soul-stirring recitation of verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a devotional chant (tawasheeh) expressing the greatness of this blessed occasion and its place in the Islamic conscience. Also during this program, a special Quranic debate was held among students of the in-person ‘Kawthar’ course on Quranic sciences and knowledge.”

She added:

“In this gathering, a Quran memorizer from Babylon province was also honored – someone who successfully completed her memorization of the Quran concurrently with this blessed occasion. This demonstrates the effectiveness of Quranic programs in supporting and nurturing Quran memorizers.”

It is worth noting that this program was held in line with the unit’s approach to enhancing Quranic awareness among girls and women, and linking their educational path with religious occasions that carry profound value-based messages. The excellent quality of this program clearly reflected the fruits of continuous efforts in implmenting Quranic projects.
