The visit was organized as part of an intellectual, cultural, and religious program aimed at deepening cognitive awareness and strengthening the bond between female students and authentic Islamic values.
Two Intellectual Sessions
The program featured two intellectual seminars. In the first session, Sayed Murtada Sharaf al-Din spoke about the enduring doctrinal and humanitarian dimensions of Imam al-Hussain’s (peace be upon him) movement. Shaikh Hasan Jawadi, in his address, examined a number of contemporary social and family issues and discussed Islamic-based approaches to addressing them.
Both sessions were met with remarkable engagement and active participation from the attendees. Students enriched the discussions through their questions, insights, and contributions, which enhanced both the academic and practical benefits of the event.
Targeted Cultural Initiatives
The Alawi Holy Shrine consistently supports cultural and intellectual initiatives tailored for youth—programs designed to cultivate a conscious, committed personality grounded in a deep connection with the school of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them) and their humanitarian and reformist values.
Zahra Hissam, the head of the “Daughters of the Right Path” cultural group, stated:
“Through designing and implementing intellectual and cultural programs specifically for students and graduates, this group seeks to reinforce religious and intellectual awareness and instill ethical values within academic environments.”
She added:
“The hosting by the Alawi Holy Shrine provided a space rich in knowledge and spirituality, which, while combining scientific and spiritual enrichment, deepened the participants’ connection with the reformist path and school of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).”
The program concluded with the honor of visiting the holy shrine of the Commander of the Faithful (peace be upon him) and partaking in the hospitality of his guesthouse—a finale that beautifully combined cultural and spiritual dimensions and left a lasting, cherished memory in the hearts and minds of all participants.
