Custodians from the Rasool Al-Azam Medical Center have taken part in a specialized training program organized by the “al-Nathm” Center – the strategic planning and development unit of the Alawi Holy Shrine. The course was designed to enhance field readiness and strengthen the capacity to respond effectively to emergency situations.
Raising Preparedness Levels for Service Provision
Firas Al-Hajjaj, the course instructor, said in an interview with the Alawi Holy Shrine News Center:
“This training program has been designed to equip participants with the essential foundational skills required for the effective management of emergency situations.”
He emphasized that practical training plays a significant role in increasing safety and raising the level of staff preparedness during the peak seasons of mass pilgrimages.
Course Curriculum
He added:
“The course comprised three workshops covering topics such as first aid, management of bleeding, fractures, burns, and embedded foreign objects in the body.
In addition, the curriculum included training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the use of emergency equipment, and safe techniques for patient transfer and rapid evacuation.”
The course concluded with an assessment test to evaluate the participants’ grasp of the training material and their readiness to play an effective role in providing services to pilgrims.
