Educational Courses Held for Female Servants of the Holy Alawi Shrine

The Holy Alawi Shrine has launched "Professional Ethics" training courses specifically for female servants (khadimat), aimed at strengthening occupational values.

The “al-Nathm” Center of the Strategic Planning and Development Department has initiated a series of educational workshops on professional ethics for female servants across various departments of the Holy Alawi Shrine. This program is being implemented to enhance the quality of services provided to pilgrims and to improve organizational performance.

Objectives and Approach of the Course

Javad al-Khuzai, the instructor of these courses, stated in an interview with the shrine’s news center:

“These courses are held with the aim of institutionalizing professional ethics and strengthening the sense of responsibility, loyalty, and belonging within the service environment. We also strive to reinforce the concept of the ‘Honor of Service’ as both a human and religious mission among the servants.”

He added:

“One of the most important goals of this program is to transform values such as religious sincerity (ikhlas), humility, and respect into practical, daily behaviors. Alongside this, emphasis is placed on strengthening communication skills with pilgrims and the ability to manage emotions in various situations, ensuring they align with the sanctity of the location and the nature of this service.”

Educational Themes

The courses provide practical and skill-based topics, including:

Principles of professional conduct and ethics in service.

The fundamental values of servants and their role in the work environment.

Skills for effective communication with pilgrims, the religious status of the “Honor of Service,” and its impact on professional performance.

Expected Outcomes

It is anticipated that these courses will play an effective role in enhancing the professional capabilities of the Shrine’s female servants and increase their readiness to provide more worthy services based on ethical principles. This initiative is evaluated within the framework of the Holy Alawi Shrine’s policies to promote a culture of “conscious service” and the continuous improvement of service quality, fitting the sanctity of this holy site.
