Imam Ali Holy Shrine Organizes Specialized Accounting Course

The Holy Shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) has launched a specialized training program focusing on international accounting and auditing standards to empower its administrative and financial personnel.

In collaboration with the Najaf branch of the Association of Accountants and Auditors, the Holy Alawi Shrine organized a professional course on International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and auditing. The program aims to enhance the efficiency and capabilities of the staff in accordance with the latest globally recognized financial systems.

Ahmed al-Baghdadi, a representative from the Training and Development Unit at the “al-Nathm” Center for Strategic Planning and Development, stated to the shrine’s News Center:

“This course is part of the Holy Shrine’s ongoing efforts to improve organizational performance. It aligns with a strategic plan dedicated to human resource empowerment and the strengthening of financial expertise based on international benchmarks.”

International Standards

Al-Baghdadi added:

“The 10-day course, held from April 17 to April 27, includes 30 participants from various departments, including Finance, Auditing, Investment, and the Faydh al-Qaseem Company. Specialized instructors from the Association of Accountants and Auditors were invited to provide comprehensive insights into international standards and their implementation, fostering a deeper understanding and preparing the ground for future application.”

Objectives of the Course

He emphasized:

“The primary objective is to solidify the Holy Shrine’s position as a leading institution in adopting global best practices. This is achieved through the development of financial and administrative systems while increasing levels of transparency and operational efficiency.”

Future Outlook

Al-Baghdadi further noted:

“Holding this course represents a qualitative step toward implementing the Shrine’s strategy to cultivate a highly skilled workforce capable of achieving organizational excellence and keeping pace with modern developments in financial management.”
