Donation of the Ghadir Flag to the Custodians of Historical Mosques and Shrines in Iraq

The Alawi Holy Shrine, as part of the programs of "International Ghadir Week," delivered the flag of Eid al-Ghadir to the noble shrines.

Within the framework of special preparations for holding the programs of “International Ghadir Week,” representatives of the Public Relations Department of the Alawi Holy Shrine visited several noble shrines and historical mosques and delivered the flag of Eid al-Ghadir, the great divine Eid, to the custodians and officials of these shrines and mosques, so as to prepare for it to be hoisted in the pure and sacred atmosphere of these sites.

During this visit, the delegation of the Alawi Holy Shrine was welcomed by the trustees and officials of the noble shrines and historical mosques, including representatives of the custodians of the Great Mosques of Kufa and Sahla, as well as representatives of the shrine of the noble companion Maytham al-Tammar.

The officials of the shrines and mosques expressed their gratitude and appreciation for this blessed initiative and emphasized the importance of joint coordination to commemorate Eid al-Ghadir through religious and cultural programs and activities—programs that play a role in establishing and keeping alive the meanings of Wilayah and taking inspiration from the path and conduct of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him).

It is worth noting that the programs of the Great Ghadir Week will begin tomorrow, Monday, with the hoisting of the flag of the great divine Eid at the holy shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him), coinciding with its hoisting at the holy shrines, noble shrines, provinces of Iraq, and a number of countries around the world, thereby honoring the commencement of the celebrations of Eid al-Ghadir, the Eid of renewed covenant and the re-declaration of the bond of Wilayah with Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) .
