The capital of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Tehran, witnessed the magnificent ceremony of raising the flag of the blessed Eid of Ghadir atop the tallest flagpole in the Middle East, located in the Abbasabad district, under the authority of the Tehran Municipality.
This ceremony was held in the presence of Haydar al-Isawi and Karrar al-Shamma’, members of the Board of Directors of the Holy Alawi Shrine, and with the widespread participation of the lovers of the Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them).
Haydar al-Isawi, a member of the Board of Directors of the Holy Alawi Shrine, stated in an interview with the News Center of the Shrine:
“The flag of Ghadir was raised atop the tallest flagpole in the Middle East in the sky of Tehran. The area of this blessed flag reaches one thousand square meters, and its pole is 150 meters high – a scene that beautifully displayed the greatness and lofty station of this occasion.”
The ceremony of raising this blessed flag was held with the fervent presence of a gathering of believers. In this ceremony, the servants and officials of the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Rida (Astan Quds Radavi), as well as a number of Iranian officials, were in attendance. The ceremony took place in an atmosphere filled with spiritual fervor and joy, and displayed a manifestation of the devotion and happiness of the believers on the occasion of the blessed Eid of Ghadir.
