The Shrine Decoration Unit at the Holy Alawi Shrine has announced the implementation of an extensive program to adorn the holy shrine of Amir al-Muminin (peace be upon him) with tens of thousands of stems of fresh flowers throughout the premises of the holy Alawi shrine.

This program also includes the daily distribution of flowers to pilgrims on the occasion of the blessed Eid of Ghadir.

More than 40,000 Stems of Fresh Flowers

Bariq Hadi, the head of the Shrine Decoration Unit, said in an interview with the shrine’s News Center of the Holy Alawi Shrine:

“The decoration operation has included the use of more than 10,000 stems of fresh flowers on the holy shrine, as well as more than 30,000 stems of flowers in the arcades  and various sections of the noble courtyard. These measures are being carried out within the framework of the special program for commemorating the week of the blessed Eid of Ghadir.”

Daily Distribution of Flowers

He added:

“Throughout the week, the Shrine Decoration Unit distributes more than 1,000 stems of flowers daily to the pilgrims. Additionally, coinciding with the ceremonies and festivals of Eid al-Ghadir held by the Holy Alawi Shrine, more than 5,000 bouquets of flowers are prepared each day for the Pilgrim Hospitality Department, which are distributed to pilgrims during the feeding feasts  and various hospitality programs.”

It is worth mentioning that these measures demonstrate the special attention of the Holy Alawi Shrine to commemorating the blessed Eid of Ghadir – an occasion that is considered among the most important and magnificent annual events at the holy Alawi shrine.
